SIMPSON Racing Hybrid S

Overview

The Simpson Hybrid S is the only Frontal Head Restraint proven effective with 3-point harnesses. FIA- and SFI-approved, it also meets FMVSS208 standards through independent testing in collaboration with Detroit auto manufacturers.

Designed for high-performance driving instructors, automotive test engineers, and other drivers who rely on 3-point harnesses, the Hybrid S delivers the critical safety advantages of head restraint technology. Testing has shown that, when paired with a Snell- or FIA-rated helmet and a 3-point harness, the Hybrid S significantly reduces neck tension compared to using a helmet and harness alone.

While Simpson offers the Hybrid S as an effective option for 3-point seatbelt use, our highest priority is always driver and instructor safety. For maximum on-track protection, we recommend a Full Containment Cockpit System, including:

• A full containment seat
• Snell or FIA-rated helmet
• FIA or SFI-approved Frontal Head Restraint
• 5- to 7-point seatbelt harness system
